Sound and gentle pulses, working together
Lenire pairs audio stimulation with gentle pulses to the tongue. This dual stimulus is designed to help your brain pay less attention to tinnitus, which can reduce its impact on your day-to-day life.
- Soothing sounds, customised to your hearing and tinnitus, play through Bluetooth headphones.
- Mild pulses reach the surface of your tongue through the Tonguetip.
- Used together, they help your brain pay less attention to tinnitus.
ALWAYS FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR USE.
Bimodal neuromodulation: sound and tongue stimulation, paired together.
An easy-to-use device for use at home
Lenire is a handheld device made up of three parts: the Tonguetip, a controller and Bluetooth headphones.
-
Tonguetip®
The Tonguetip has 32 tiny electrodes that deliver mild pulses to the surface of the tongue. It is designed to sit comfortably in your mouth.
-
Handheld controller
Start, pause and resume your session, adjust the sound volume and adjust the tongue stimulation intensity.
-
Bluetooth headphones
Wireless headphones, included with Lenire, deliver customised audio to activate the auditory nerve to the brain.
The settings are customised by your healthcare professional to suit your tinnitus, after a tinnitus and Lenire suitability assessment.
Clinical evidence

Results are from published clinical trials (Science Translational Medicine, 2020; Scientific Reports, 2022; Nature Communications, 2024) and a retrospective review of 220 patients at one US clinic (Communications Medicine, 2025). Trials 1 and 2 were exploratory and report on participants who used Lenire as advised. Trial 3 had no sham control: participants completed six weeks of sound-only therapy before using Lenire, and it included people with moderate or worse tinnitus. No serious adverse events related to Lenire were reported in the trials. Individual results vary.
